A year has passed, did the new building coatings beat the heat?

Come and learn about EnKoat, a startup venture out of ASU, which set out to create an innovative solution to reduce the heating and cooling costs of buildings. Founded by two ASU PhDs, Aashay Arora and Matthew Aguayo, they have positioned themselves as leaders in the clean tech space after being named in Forbes 30 Under 30 Energy List for 2020. EnKoat was recently named top 50 to Watch companies in the world tackling the climate crisis head on, by the Cleantech Group. Working directly with the facilities management team at ASU's polytechnic campus, the founders began evaluating the performance of their innovative coatings in 2019 on one of the campus buildings. Now, after a year has passed, the founders are back to share their findings from this real-world experiment. If successful, EnKoat's solution could prevent millions of metric tons of harmful carbon emissions from entering the atmosphere every year.
