Seeing Women, Strengthening Democracy: The Importance of Political Representation

This 2-hour program will explain the various types of political representation (descriptive, substantive, and symbolic), discuss what we know about these three types of representation, examine efforts to increase women's representation across the globe, and engage participants in exploring how women's representation matters for democracy.
