SOLIDWORKS Simulation 101

Creating innovative products requires insights into design performance, and design engineers who can predict design behavior are more efficient, innovative, and successful. SolidWorks Simulation gives product engineers access to powerful analysis capabilities such as vibration for structural performance testing. This workshop provides foundational knowledge on a pathway to certification.

Introducing Simulation: What is Finite Element Analysis, the overall process Prerequisites of running a study: (simplify, model cleanup, idealization Element Types Engineering Assumptions

Setting up a Simulation Study: Parts Introduction to Contacts Setting up a model with contacts: Assemblies Contacts Best practices & Tips General Simulation Best practices Result/mesh convergence Singularities, Mesh controls, and others.

Open to any student who wants to learn SOLIDWORKS and CAD modeling skills. Primary audience are engineering and design students.)
