Mediactive: How to Participate in our Digital World

We’re in an age of information overload. Learn how media literacy principles can help you make sense of your digital media environment. This is a self-guided course that also features one live Zoom Q&A with the Washington Post's David Fahrenthold. Participants will learn how to spot misinformation, assess claims and sources, explain how the news media operate and use and create media to participate in their communities. One hour live zoom on Tuesday, 12/15 at 3PM AZ time with special guest David Fahrenthold of the Washington Post; the rest in a 3-hours self-guided online course. Of particular interest to any students wanting to boost their media literacy skills. Appropriate for undergraduates and graduates (and their parents and grandparents!)
