What you'll learn:
Communication is easy, right? After all, we learned to communicate during our first years of life, and we’ve been doing it ever since. Unfortunately, it isn’t that simple. Almost every aspect of the workplace requires communication skills; however, time and time again, ineffective communication leads to business problems—and at times, big problems.
Note: This course is not facilitated by an instructor, therefore no one is monitoring activity in the course. If you have a question or need help as you progress, please refer to the help section within the course.
Modules and content:
In this course you’ll take a look at principles of communication and learn about barriers to effective communication. By the end of this study, you’ll see that good communication takes intentional focus, but it is a skill you can learn.

Elizabeth Castillo, PhD
Elizabeth A. Castillo is an Assistant Professor of Leadership and Interdisciplinary Studies at Arizona State University. She earned a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies at the University of San Diego after a 20-year career managing social enterprise organizations. She is an avid hiker and nature photographer.
