What you'll learn:
Organizations exist for reasons beyond making money, and those reasons are embedded in their vision, mission, and values. Organizations also create and use plans for achieving their goals. This course will give you an understanding of the planning process and how plans must achieve the organizational mission, which is an essential leadership skill. You will understand common types of plans and a typical planning cycle of an organization, and how it all has to track to the vision, mission, and values.

Jennifer L. S. Chandler, Ph.D. teaches organizational leadership courses and researches organizational leadership practices among scientist and engineering teams who are tackling global sustainability challenges. S. federal agencies, and U. S. national professional associations.
