Self-Paced 6 Weeks Certificate $1,795

Certificate Overview

The Transforming and Innovating Global Health Care certificate combines the expertise of two different organizations: Thunderbird School of Global Management, which specializes in understanding how technology is transforming global businesses, and Mayo Clinic, which is ranked #1 by Newsweek in its annual list of the “World’s Best Hospital.” Together, they present how digital technology is currently being used in patient care and how it might be used in the future. This certificate program examines how leaders can successfully navigate the challenges of a rapidly changing environment and achieve ambitious goals for change to ensure the delivery of service to the right patient, by the right provider, at the right place, and at the right time.

In this course, you will:

    • Recognize the impact of cross-industry drivers of change.
    • Define the specific ways in which technology like remote monitoring and wearables, the internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), Big Data-enabled decision-making, and Web 3.0 are reshaping patient expectations and transforming care delivery models.
    • Identify global trends in health care from the perspective of leading, experienced practitioners in their field and how these trends can be translated into every day, real-time practical solutions.

What topics will be covered

  • Recognize tried and tested approaches that help an organization reduce risk.
  • Identify different types of inefficiencies (waste) that an organization can reduce or eliminate to build a more effective operating rhythm.
  • Differentiate between an output and an outcome mindset and the impact both have on health care.
