What you'll learn:

The health care industry is dynamic and is changing rapidly. Health care leaders need to possess a deep understanding of how the health care system works and how the design is integrally bound to the science of delivery patient care. This course will promote a strong foundation in system and organizational structure and will allow the health care professional to look at the healthcare industry from a system level in order to create and lead change within their health care organization.

  • Examine the U.S. health care system from multiple perspectives, including those of consumers, providers, payers, and policy makers.
  • Understand the interdependencies among the various components of the health care system.
  • Use systems thinking and tools to analyze and generate solutions to common health system problems to achieve better quality and cost outcomes.
