Full course description
In this course, educators will learn how global issues can become the basis for project-based learning, bringing relevance and engagement to core content. Project-based learning enables students to take accountability for their own learning and show what they can do with their academic knowledge and 21st-century skills. Participants in the course will learn a proven method to engage students in projects that are inquiry-based, student led, problem focused, authentic, and rooted in real-world global issues. By the end of this course, participants will understand how global content can be incorporated into project-based learning. The coaching guide helps instructional leaders support educators as they prepare to implement concepts from the course in their own learning environments.
