Sunrise Light Walk

Join ASU Art Museum Director, Miki Garcia and experience of our new walking tour with a socially distanced sunrise walk and receive a copy of our new coloring book. Wear comfortable shoes, a cell phone, a pair of headphones, water, and don’t forget your mask!

The ASU Art Museum collaborated with Vanessa Moreno (Purépecha, Tepehuán), Eunique Yazzie (Diné) and Dustin Lopez (Diné, Yaqui, Laguna Pueblo) to create a coloring book that represents traditional stories involving light from the Native American peoples of the Southwest. This guided walk explores important features on ASU’s Tempe campus, using the four cardinal directions as its guide. The walk will take you from the ASU Art Museum to "A" Mountain in downtown Tempe. We hope you enjoy this exploration of light!
