Innovation Week

This session is part of something remarkable: a month-long celebration of innovative energy designed to educate, engage, and inspire. Once you enroll in this session, remember to check out your dashboard to see your personal learning path. We can't wait to innovate with you!

Reimagine Smart Cities in a post-COVID World

Reimagine Smart Cities and communities in a post-COVID world by immersing in a week-long product design experience just like Google X, Amazon Cloud, and other tech giants use when pursuing moonshot ideas. Earn badges for your LinkedIn profile, strengthen your resume, and build tech skills in high demand via special collaboration with a global corporate partner. Within the next few years, more than half the world’s population will be living in urban areas. But our urban areas are not currently designed to keep people safe in a pandemic.

What innovations will it take to bring cities back to life after COVID-19? What technologies will make it safe to travel, gather for sports and cultural events, or just go out to dinner in restaurants? What will give people confidence to leave their homes so that cities can become vital again and communities can help reduce people’s isolation and stress? Will it be new wearables, new monitoring systems for air and surfaces, new purification systems and devices, etc.

Problem-solvers, engineers, and designers will work together to imagine new technologies for individuals, built environments, infrastructures, transportation or services that make smart cities smart enough to keep us safe and healthy.
