How to talk about race in today's climate

Talking about race in today's climate is very difficult. People tend to assume that one is either "for" or "against" racism, that if one is black or brown they believe one set of ideas about race and if one is white they believe a different set of ideas. Neither of these are true, yet to the degree that we act as if they are, we will fail at our efforts to communicate. This session will walk participants though how to avoid the common pitfalls in having discussions about race.
