Full course description
Innovation Week
This session is part of something remarkable: a month-long celebration of innovative energy designed to educate, engage, and inspire. Once you enroll in this session, remember to check out your dashboard to see your personal learning path. We can't wait to innovate with you!
Cooking on Budget Challenge
Participants will utilize a standard video template to create and submit 3-4 minute cooking videos that show how to cook meals with foods and ingredients that you could get at a food bank or purchase for a low price. Go into your cupboards, see what’s there, and put together a simple meal that anyone could make with very little skill and very little equipment or maybe just using a microwave!
Faculty will judge the submissions based on:
- overall price per serving
- sustainability of ingredients
- amount of equipment needed
- ease of recipe
- video editing
A library of cooking videos will be uploaded to a private CHS YouTube channel to share with the ASU Pitchfork Pantry, and community partners. The best video will receive a prize and be featured on CHS social media.
