SOLIDWORKS PDM - Day In the Life of an Engineer
Stand out as an intern- or job-ready engineer or designer by learning industry basics for how the life of a product is carefully tracked and managed. This is PDM, Product Data Management. It’s a powerful tool you can use on projects right now.
In this workshop, an industry specialist will introduce common industry standards for the life of a product. Every company has a workflow whether its common knowledge or mapped out in software. Nearly every product is subject to change and those changes need to be recorded, approved, carried out, submitted, re-approved and so forth. PDM manages company workflows, approvals, Engineering Change requests, revisions, tracks the history of CAD data and everything a company needs to be competitive in today’s market.
Open to any student who wants to learn SOLIDWORKS and CAD modeling skills. Primary audience are engineering and design students.
