What you'll learn:

When it comes to email, constructing the message properly is the most important part. The message is the heart of what you are trying to communicate when sending a memo or Email to someone. There are different types of messages that are commonly used in business, and each is structured differently. This course dives into the different types including request messages, documentation messages and ‘bad-news’ messages. You’ll learn the structure behind messages and how to create effectively create them through email and memos.


Modules and Content:

Students will explore several key concepts about communicating with email and memos. As they explore the course material, students will be asked to apply what they are learning to real-world problems. Several activities in the course plus good and bad examples will guide students through this popular method of communication. Course assessments help students check for their understanding of the course material.
